Pink Martini has announced a show at Bord Gais Energy Theatre for April 11th, 2017.
The show features 10-12 musicians; Pink Martini made their European entrance at Cannes Film Festival back in 1997 and their orchestral launch in 1998 with the Oregon Symphony. Their debut album, Sympathique, which was independently released in 1997, swiftly became an international phenomenon; it went on to receive nominations for “Song of the Year” and “Best New Artist” in France’s Victoires de la Musique Awards in 2000. The group has sold over 2.5 million albums worldwide.
“Pink Martini is a rollicking around-the-world musical adventure … if the United Nations had a house band in 1962, hopefully, we’d be that band,” said Thomas Lauderdale, bandleader/pianist.
