Paddy Casey has released new single ‘Everything Must Change’ from his forthcoming sixth album which is due for release early next year.
The song is an uplifting focusing on the theme of first love. It deals with the spark you experience when you taste love for the first time and how you’re never the same.
Paddy commented on the video to ‘Everything Must Change’, ‘I wanted a video that would show 2 kids, meeting, hitting it off, running amok and basically having a little adventure. It’s a loose interpretation of my first time experience. I really liked Banjoman’s stuff, and called them up, told them roughly what I wanted. They were really into it and they were excited as it was their first ever music video – so we just went for it!’
Paddy thinks his forthcoming album is his most interesting yet. He has been working on it for the past couple of years, stating, ‘I think it has some of the strongest songs I’ve written so far. I’ve really tried to let go of the reins on this one and I’ve been trying out lots of new things. There are some electronic vibes with some big orchestral moments and even some stripped back acoustic songs too, harking back to ‘Amen, So Be It’. I’m really excited and I can’t wait for people to hear it.’
