The Dublin Legends are coming to Monroe’s Live on December 29 in support of their album tour ‘The Dublin Sessions‘.
The Irish folk band celebrated 50 years in the music business in 2012 by receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards and sold-out a concert tour in the UK.
The Dublin Legends were once The Dubliners, but after Barney McKenna passed away and John Sheehan’s decision to retire, the original band parted ways.
The Dublin Legends is Sean Cannon, Eamonn Campbell, Paul Watchorn, and Gerry O’Connor. Combined they have over 60 years of performing experience with the aforementioned band. They continue to play classic songs and ballads: ‘Whiskey in The Jar’, ‘Dirty Old Town’, ‘The Wild Rover’, ‘Molly Malone’, ‘Black Velvet Band’, and many more.
In over 10 years, the band have recently recorded their brand new studio album ‘The Dublin Sessions‘, as well as touring across Europe.
“Catch The Dublin Legends if they are appearing anywhere near you. You will not be disappointed!” Joe Giltrap, The Irish Post, London.
