Diet Cig: ‘Swear I’m Good At This’

Diet Cig’s forthcoming album I Swear I’m Good At This, will be released on April 7th via Frenchkiss Records.  They have shared their first single ‘Tummy Ache’ off the record here.

The band noted on the single, “Tummy Ache’ is all about unpacking the feeling of approaching punk with radical softness, and the struggle when it’s not always read as powerful or cool or whatever enough. It’s the shout into my pillow when what I’m saying isn’t being heard, and a big old I FEEL YA to all the femme folks creating space for themselves in a world that wants to keep us quiet.”

Diet Cig is Alex Luciano (guitar and vocals) and Noah Bowman (drums). They released their infectious debut EP Over Easy in 2015. Their debut album showcases relatable tales, perfecting an emotion, with sing-a-long lyrics. The record was produced,  engineered and mixed by Christopher Daly at Salvation Recording Co. in New Paltz, NY, with additional recording at Atomic Sound in NYC.
